Insulin Injection for Dog? Symptom of diabetes in dog. Treatment.
The only circumstance that will make it probable is if your dog suffers of diabetes. Your veterinarian will teach you how to apply insulin shots to your dog, but you can practice using an orange. Insulin should be applied under the skin, instead of intra venous, which makes it easier. Once the syringe is filled, remove the free skin of the back part of the neck, and introduce the needle through the skin. Take it away a bit to be sure there's no blood in the syringe (this would mean you have touched a sanguine vessel), and if all is all right, push the piston firmly, and then take the needle away. It's important to use a new needle each time, not only because of hygiene, but also because they easily get dull. The dog's skin is amazingly hard, and a dull needle will make the process harder. Get rid of those used needles placing them into their coverings, and give them back to the veterinarian. These shots will probably be administrated on a daily basis.
Is it true that when the dog's nose is moist, the dog is healthy?
