How long will it take to train the dog?
The basic commands such as Heel, Sit, Down, Stay and Come can be taught even to dogs who are slower learners in about 10 weeks. But this is only possible, if you are willing to dedicate twenty to twenty five minutes daily to time spent training your dog. Remember that all dogs, like people, are different.Some dogs just learn more quickly, while other dogs need more time and patience. No matter what the dog's strengths or weaknesses, with formal training even those dogs who seem completely inept will learn and become more easily trainable with time. After about 10 weeks of consistent training, your dog even if it is initially slow will be learning at about the same level as an initially quicker dog.
