Hot Dog Sauce Recipe
This hot dog sauce recipe is a must if you are looking for something special to give to your dog. I am not exactly sure who came up with it but it is absolutely scrumptious for dogs. Although it is a hot dog sauce recipe, the sauce in it consists of mashed potatoes (what more could a dog want?) and absolutely delicious. Obviously a dogs diet cannot just consist on these types of preparations and you will need to ask your veterinarian before feeding him any of these ingredients, as there are some things in it that certain dogs cannot eat. If you get the go on it, sit back and watch your dog dig into this hot dog sauce recipe.
Ingredients
4 strips bacon
½ cup chopped onion
2 cups mashed potatoes
Salt
Ground black pepper
6 hot dogs split longwise
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 175 C.
Fry the bacon until crisp over medium heat in a frying pan. Once done, drain the bacon on a paper towel and then crush it. Put the onion in the frying pan and cook until the onions are soft and translucent. Take the onions off the frying pan and put them in a mixing bowl. Add the crumbled bacon, the mashed potatoes, and salt and pepper to taste, mixing well.
Makes about 6 cups of the hot dog sauce recipe.
