Homemade Chicken Broth Recipe
Ingredients
1 kilogram of chicken
3 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon of ground thyme
1 teaspoon of rosemary
Preparation
- Put the chicken inside a big pot of around 2 liters of water and bring it to a boil. Then add in the carrots, thyme and rosemary. Allow it to simmer for 1 hour. If you notice an excess amount of fat on the top of the broth, skim it out with a spoon and allow the chicken to cook all the way through.
- Once done, take the chicken out of the chicken broth liquid. Then very carefully separate the meat from the chicken skin and bones and set it on the side. Keep the broth and get rid of the chicken bones and skin. Then take the carrots out of the chicken broth, mash them and put them in a small bowl, then set them on the side.
Giving Your Dog His Medicine
There are several ways of tricking a dog into taking his medicine if you are having trouble with this. One excellent way if by hiding a pill inside a dab of peanut butter or cream cheese. Once your dog eats the Turkish delight, make sure he has actually taken the pill. There are dogs that are really good at only eating the treat and spitting out the pill when you aren't looking.
