Healthy Dog Biscuit Recipe
The following healthy dog biscuit recipe is something extra special as there are special things in it such as honey, which adds to it. Making this healthy dog biscuit recipe was very easy and dogs just gobble them up.
Ingredients
1 and ½ cup of whole-wheat flour
¼ cup of soy flour
¼ cup of nonfat dry milk
3 tablespoons of vegetable shortening
1 egg
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of chicken broth, or as much as you need
Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place 1 ungreased baking tray on the side.
Use a large bowl and whisk to mix the flours and nonfat dry milk together. Then use a knife to cut in the shortening until the mixture has a crumby consistency. In a separate smaller bowl, beat the egg with an electric mixer on medium speed and then beat in the honey and chicken broth. Then, blend both the dry and wet preparation together with a spoon or use your hand until it becomes a soft dough and starts to pull away from the bowl it is in.
Flour a flat surface and turn the dough onto it. Use a rolling pin to roll it out. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the cookies shapes and make sure to reuse the scraps as you go. You will notice the dough will become stiffer.
