Gourmet Dog Treat Recipe
Something that is really in style these days is a gourmet dog treat recipe. This is being done with natural dog safe ingredients and seems to be greatly in fashion at the moment. Obviously I got swept into the new hype and found this interesting gourmet dog treat recipe. My dog loved it.
Ingredients
1 cup of whole-wheat flour
¼ cup of soy flour
2 tablespoons of fresh Romano cheese
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
1 egg
2 tablespoons of canola oil
¼ cup of cottage cheese, large curd
¼ cup of chicken broth
Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place 1 slightly greased baking pan on the side.
Use a large bowl and whisk to mix the flours, grated cheese, and garlic powder together.
In a separate medium size bowl beat the egg with an electric mixer on medium speed until it is foamy then beat in the oil, cottage cheese and chicken broth.
Blend the dry and wet preparation together with a spoon or use your hand until it becomes a soft dough and starts to pull away from the bowl. If it is too dry add a teensy bit more broth to it.
Flour a flat surface and turn the dough onto it. Use a rolling pin to roll it out to ½ inch of thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out gourmet dog treat recipe shapes and reuse the scraps as you go. You will notice the dough will become stiffer as you work it.
