Fish bisque recipe for dogs
Ingredients
4 tablespoons non salted butter
2 baby cabbage , chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon dry thyme
2 bay leaves
½ kilo
450 grams shellfish, crabmeat, or shrimp
4 cups fish stock
Salt
Ground pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 4 tablespoons of cold water
2 cups heavy cream
½ cup white wine
Kibble
Use a medium size pot and melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the baby cabbage , carrots, parsley, thyme, and bay leaves. Cook until the baby cabbage are translucent. Add in the fish, shellfish, fish stock, salt and pepper to taste and simmer. Simmer covered for about 6 – 10 minutes. Add in the cornstarch to the mixture and cook it stirring continuously until the bisque is thickened. Next, add in the cream and the wine and mix. Serve right away over kibble in dogs bowl.
Makes 3 kilos approximately.
