Polyamide: The English Setter is a good companion and an excellent hunter.
Height, weight: from 61 to 68 cm high. Weighs 20 to 25 kg.
Fur, color: long, fine and silky. White with orange spots (Orange Belton), white with black spots (Blue Belton), or tricolor (white, black and orange).
Appropriate for: fond lovers of the countryside. People who love sports and those wo want a faithful friend.
Not Appropriate for: those who enjoy a sedentary life.
As a member of the family: easily gets adapted to the different circumstances. Needs love and affection from the whole family. Does not bark much and is well behaved. It’ll be happy in the living room with the family, but it’ll pay special attention to the person that takes it out for walks.
Breed’s character: noble, faithful, active and stable. Sensitive and very easy to train because of the devotion it feels for its owner. Control is required in its training, for it easily gets distracted with the birds.
Common sicknesses: deafness, hip disorders and dermatitis.
Life expectancy: up to 14 years.
