Training Dog to Accept Strangers

Whenever a dog goes out of control when a stranger goes to your home, it might mean that he is afraid, overexcited, or it might make him aggressive. It is not a good idea to try to train him while you are also trying to address to your guest, as this might be dangerous. Your attempts at this won't be very successful. It is important to teach the dog a new pattern of behavior in order to teach the dogs how to respond whenever a visitor comes over.If your dog is afraid of strangers, you should seek out the help of a professional dog trainer to help you evaluate this behavior and then solve the problem. Professional dog trainers might also suggest some training sessions that will help your dog to learn better manners. The hardest job is to overcome your dog's attitude toward strangers in your home. 1. Take your dog out of the room before your visitor walks into the room.
2. After about 10 – 15 minutes let him out, and tell everyone to not pay attention to him.
3. Give your visitor or visitors some snacks and have them drop these around their feet.
4. Allow your dog to go to your visitor or visitors and eat the snacks.
