There are quite a few benefits to brushing your dog's coat regularly. First of all it helps to keep the coat healthy and shiny, and allows you the chance to check for any lumps on the dog's skin, for fleas, ticks, scrapes, hot spots, etc. Another great benefit of brushing your dog's coat is that is allows you to spend time with your dog. Remember to always brush your pooches coat before giving it a bath otherwise mats and clumps will show up which will be impossible to get rid of afterwards.
