Dog weaning tips

Some dogs will produce enough milk to maintain a normal growth of their descendants during six weeks if they receive enough food. After three weeks, the puppies will originate sharp teeth that will create displeasure to the dog. You should not be surprise if the dog feels irritated in this period although they cannot stop feeding their puppies unless the milk diminishes by itself. For these reasons, it is convenient to start the weaning when they are three weeks old. Some breeders will even begin before while others wait until the four-week, even though three weeks is a reasonable time for dog of different sizes. As the weaning progresses gradually decrease the dog's food so the milk's production is reducing, otherwise you will present mastitis. As soon as you discovered that the puppies are consuming other foods, liquids or solids, you should eliminate one of the three foods that the dog receives, living the other two intact.
