Doggie Socialization
When getting a new puppy one of the most important things to focus on is socialization. Socialization should begin at 3 weeks to 20 weeks of age, as this is the most critical moment of a dog's development. A lot of the things a puppy or dog goes through at this age will have a big impact on its future and will define its lifelong behavior.

Make sure to introduce your puppy to as many new and constructive experiences as possible. Doing this, will allow your dog to feel well adjusted and comfortable in his situation and environment. You should allow your dog to be handled by people, played with, and handfed by different people, children etc. And most definitely allow it to be around other puppies and dogs. This is very important in forming your dog's development and will allow it to interact with world appropriately.

Socialization should not end at puppy hood though it should continue on into adolescence and young adulthood at least. Doing this and allowing your dog to experience different things in an agreeable way will teach the dog that people and other dogs are indeed nice and should be considered friends.
