How to keep your dog healthy: Periodical dog vaccinations are the base of a healthy dog maintenance. When you take your dog to the vet for a vaccination, get it checked as well. The sooner a disease is discovered, the easier it will be to heal.

Dog Parasite control schedule vaccination: There are two good reasons to get your dog rid of parasites periodically: first, a dog with worms is extremely weak and prone to infection. Second, man can also get worms, especially kids, who are not that clean and have less defenses. There are many classes of worms; ascarides and tapeworm are the most common, though. It is better to use medicines that attack a variety of parasites, rather than just one of two. Ask the vet, and if you know nothing about your dog's past life, you must get it checked for parasites. If you have a pup, these are the ages you should have it checked:

• 6 weeks
• 8 weeks
• 12 weeks
• 6 months
• 9 months

And every three months from this stage.

Dogs must be checked and healed before being vaccinated, for it would be very dangerous to vaccinate a dog who's weakened by a parasite.

Dog Vaccines: Vaccines are vital for your dog, they protect it form diseases that can be deadly or contagious, like rabies. All of these diseases are viral, except for leptospirosis, which is provoked by bacteria. There are no absolute vaccines for these diseases, and you well have to repeat them every year.

Cross or mixed breed dogs are strong, but we still have to take care of them. A dog can get sick, and you have to recognize the symptoms in order to treat it and react on time.
