We must set the rules form the first day, and these have to be clear and firm, for both the pup and the rest of the family.

First walks: It is advisable to walk the pup around the house before going out, stimulating it and encouraging it to follow us with soft words or delicate clapping. This way it will learn to follow its owner naturally, instead of getting used to being pulled about.

Wearing a leash and a collar is always traumatic for the pup, for pups love to run freely and find these objects annoying. The best way to get them to adapt to these is to get the pups to wear them from the beginning. If the pup receives the collar as soon as it gets to its new home, it will see it as a part of its new life.

You'll have to be a little more patient when it comes to leash. It 'd be good to get the pup to wear it 2 weeks before the first walk. If you make a mistake and the dog associates the leash with an unpleasant feeling, it will be impossible to take it for a walk wearing a leash.

To avoid this, praise the dog for wearing a leash, and don't let it bite or chew the object, for that might become an obnoxious habit.

If you poly with the leash the pup will associate the object with its owner, which means the pup will eventually like the leash. The final objective is to get the pup realize there's a relation between the leash and walks and games.

Where to go with Training Dog Collars? At first we must be prudent and not take the pup to a place where it might find other dogs, and we must never let it get close to droppings, for its immunological system isn't completely developed yet. Be as careful with any kind of edible material lying on the street. Before letting your pup relate to other dogs, make sure these aren't aggressive, for this could cause shyness or traumatize it to a point where it will become aggressive.

And what if the dog is not a pup anymore? When you buy a dog that is an adult, and is not used to the street, the leash traffic, etc you must be aware it will take a lot of work and attention than a pup. The learning process will be a lot slower. You might in some cases have to turn to a canine psychologist.
