Dog trainers dry run practice: Two dog trainers at a time should form into a pair. One of the dog trainers takes the place of the dog (becomes the dog) and the other turns into the dog trainer. The dog trainer chooses some commands such as "Sit", "Down", "Heel" etc and without using words, the dog trainer needs to transmit these over to the "dog" by using his or her hands. The "dog" will need to guess what the dog trainer wants him to do. Then you can change roles. Through this dry run practice, dog trainers will be able to see if the signs they do with their hands are really clear and precise, especially when they are done at a distance.

From walking to "Sit". A whole group of people and their dogs must walk in a line at normal pace, if possible, with the dogs off the leash. At the next stop, the dogs will receive the command to "Sit" and the dog trainers must do this by using only their hands, not by verbally saying it.

Practicing from "Sit" to "Down". The dogs must change from position "Sit" to "Down" by only seeing a hand sign from their dog trainers. 

Practicing from "Down" to "Sit". Starting at the "Down" position, the dogs will go to the "Sit" position again by only seeing a hand sign from their dog trainers. In order to achieve this, you must complement the hand sign for the "Sit" position by raising your arm so the dog can see it clearly.

"Come" practice. All the dog trainers must stand in a straight line next to each other and their dogs must be sitting. One of the dog trainers must walk about nine feet ahead of the rest along with his or her dog and order (using a hand sign) the dog to "Sit". The dog trainer then walks about thirty feet away from the dog and calls the dog using his hands alone. During this practice the rest of the dog should not move around. The dog trainer then goes back to his or her place back in the line and the rest of the dogs do the same. Two dog trainers at a time should form into a pair.
