Dog Targeting

Targeting is similar to luring but it replaces the food with a "target" which the dog must touch his nose to. The three most commonly used targets are your hand, a yogurt container lid or a target stick. The target stick can be bought online or you can make your own. As with luring, the target is just to get your dog performing an action and must be removed quickly from the process less the dog become dependent on the target.
