Dog Stress

Dog Stress

Dog Stress is not something that only and exclusively occurs to humans, but it also affects other animals and specifically dogs due to the closeness they have with humans. A dog experiences many types of feelings and sensations that can alter their behavior and in some occasions, it can even cause death. There have been cases in which a dog owner has passed away and where it has caused the dog to become depressed and sad about not seeing his owner anymore to the point where the dog stopped eating, moving, etc, slowly causing the animal to immerse in his loneliness. Dogs sometimes die due to pain and despair at the loss of their owners, but the fact is that this would not have happened if the owner had created strong emotional bonds with the dog in the first place. A dog that is brought into a new home, or in an environment which is unknown to him, can also feel insecure and under stress in the dog due to the loss of his own territory. In this type of situation, a dog that until then behaved normal, happy and secure of himself, can present fundamental problems by showing insecurity which can easily turn into a behavior problem. A puppy that grow

s up in an environment where people yell a lot and fight all the time, and where there is no emotional stability, will adopt an insecure attitude. The dog might sometimes be submissive and tranquil while other times it will behave nervous and even aggressive due to its own emotional instability.

A dog that is constantly under stress cannot grow and develop normally because the environment that it is in does not allow it and is being denied. It would be almost impossible to classify the pathological abnormalities in dogs, which can be psycho-pathological, congenital, or acquired. These problems can be a result of adverse experiences that happened in the early life of the dog, but we cannot stop asking ourselves if the puppy or adult dog is really to blame for its behavior problems or if we are the ones with these problems which we then pass over to our dogs.
