Dog Spots Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups of all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of molasses
1 cup of canola oil
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
12 ounces of carob chips
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Use a bowl and mix the flour and baking powder together, then set the mixture on the side. Use another large bowl to whisk the molasses and oil together, and then add in the eggs one at a time and finally the vanilla extract. Then mix the flour mixture into the wet mixture. Stir in the carob chips.
- Grab a tablespoon of dough on a spoon and drop it onto an ungreased baking pan separating each one by 1 and a ½ inches. Put them in the oven and bake them for 12 to 14 minutes or until you notice they are golden brown.
- Once they are done allow them to cool and serve.
Store the leftovers in an airtight container for no more than 1 week, or wrap well in freezer wrap and store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Skin Problems in Dogs
One of the problems that can arise in a dog's coat is hot spots. Hot spots can be caused by flea infestations, insect bites, scratches on the skin, an allergic reaction etc, and unfortunately it is a pretty common thing. A dog that has nothing to do and is bored can even cause himself to get a hot spot by licking at a certain place of their body continually. You will notice this problem if the skin starts to redden, is inflamed, bleeding, oozing and infected. In order to clean the area of the skin well it might be necessary to shave around the infected area before cleaning it. You can try by using an over the counter topical antibacterial cream, however if this is not working, you will need to call your veterinarian to see how to get rid of them.
