Dog Salad Recipe
Sirius the Dog Star: There was once a forty day period in ancient Egypt when Sirius, the Dog Star, was seen for a forty day period which were marked by roasting heat and humidity. This star was believed at that time to have increased the sun's heat, which were the reason the temperatures were so outrageously hot. There were also superstitions that dogs were susceptible to madness, rabies and demon possession during this time.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ heads lettuce, chopped
4 cups cooked peas, and chopped broccoli
2 cups cooked meat or fish, bite size
2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in cup of hot water
½ teaspoon thyme, dried
Heat up oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add in the garlic and brown. Next, add in the lettuce and stir fry until it is limp. Next, add in the peas, meat bouillon cubes, and thyme. Bring the heat up and boil. Cook just until all the ingredients are heated. Serve it warm, cold, by itself or over cooked rice or kibble.
Makes 2 liters salad.
