Precautions against Dog Fleas. Use a Flea Collar
As a precaution against dog fleas, some owners use anti fleas collars, but these should be placed following, strictly, the manufacturer instructions to be sure they are effective and safe. If your dog has a sensible skin, examine him regularly to detect some adverse reaction to the impregnated zone that is part of the collar. Fleas' infestations increase during summer months. Some owners opt to wash their dog with an insecticide shampoo to prevent fleas and other external parasites, mixing it with a specific amount of water. Other methods include pills and shots. The concentration of the drug in the blood kill fleas when eating, but offer no protection to the dog's owner that can also be bitten by these parasites. The environment should be treated as well.
