Dog Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients
1 and 1/3 cups of all-purpose flour
½ cup of carob powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
½ cup of canola oil
1 cup of honey
4 egg whites
1 cup of nonfat yogurt, natural
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Oil a round 9-inch pound cake pan with vegetable oil and then dust the bottom with a little flour.
2. Mix the flour, carob powder, and baking powder in a medium bowl and set it on the side. Use a large bowl to mix the oil and honey, you either use a wooden spoon to mix it or an electric mixer. Once it has mixed completely add in the egg whites one at a time slowly and continue to beat the mixture.
3. Next add in the yogurt and vanilla and continue mixing it until it becomes a homogenous mixture. Then add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix it all up until it becomes smooth.
4. Pour the batter evenly over the cake pan, then place it in the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until when inserting a wooden pick in the center of the cake it comes out clean.
5. Once done, allow it to cool to normal temperature.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or wrap in freezer wrap and store in the freezer for up to 2 months.
