Dog Peanut Brittle Recipes
Ingredients
3 and ½ cups of rice flour
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon of baking powder
1 egg
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of non-salted peanut butter
½ cup of canola oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ cup of peanuts, chopped and unsalted
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Oil a jelly roll baking pan with vegetable oil.
- Mix the rice flour, cinnamon, and baking powder in a bowl and stir well, then set on the side. Use a large bowl and beat the egg, honey, peanut butter, oil and vanilla together well. Then put the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and add 1 cup of water to the mixture. Stir until you obtain a stiff batter.
- Pour the dough onto the jello roll baking pan and then cover with plastic wrap. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out evenly to ¼ inch thickness. Then remove the plastic wrap and sprinkle some peanuts over the dough by pressing them lightly into the dough. Score the dough with a knife into 2 X 3 inch rectangles.
- Bake the peanut brittle for 30 to 40 minutes approximately or until you notice the edges begin to turn golden brown.
- Allow it to cool to normal temperature before breaking apart along the score lines and serving.
If there are leftovers make sure to keep in an airtight container for up to 1 week at most. Or if you want to conserve it longer, wrap well in freezer wrap and freezer for up to 2 months.
Makes 24 peanut brittle servings.
