Dog Nibble Bars Recipe
Ingredients
½ cup of whole-wheat flour
1 cup of soy flour
4 cups of dry beef flavored kibble, ground finely
½ lb of cooked lean ground beef, minced finely
2 eggs
½ cup of honey
½ cup of canola oil
Preparation
- Place the oven rack in the center of the oven and pre heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place 1 slightly greased baking pan on the side.
- Use a large bowl and a wire whisk to mix the whole wheat flour, soy four, kibble, and ground beef together.
- In a separate medium size bowl use an electric mixer on medium speed to mix the eggs, honey and oil together.
- Next, blend both the dry and wet preparation together with a spoon or use your hand until it becomes a soft dough and starts to pull away from the bowl it is in. If it is too dry add a teensy bit more broth to it.
- Then press the prepared dough onto the bottom of the pan and use a knife to score deep lines through the dough into bar shapes.
- Bake the cake for around 15 to 20 minutes or until you notice it has acquires a brownish color on the top and when inserting a wooden pick in it, it comes out clean. Then take the pan out of the oven and place it over a wire rack and allow it to cool completely.
- Take the pan out and break the cookies into the previously scored bar shapes.
- Place the cookies back inside the warm oven in one baking tray and allow them to sit in there undisturbed without opening the oven door for 10 to 15 hours straight.
