Dog Munchies Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 cups of oats
½ cup of peanuts, unsalted and chopped
2 small bananas, mashed
½ cup of applesauce, unsweetened
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder, oats and peanuts together, then set on the side. In another bigger bowl mix the mashed banana, applesauce and vanilla extract together, then pour the flour mixture over the banana mixture and stir until it becomes stiff dough.
- Roll the dough into small balls and then flatten them over an ungreased baking sheet with your hand or the back of a spoon. Put them in the oven and bake them for around 15 minutes or until they become golden brown.
- Once they are done allow them to cool completely before serving out.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 7 days, or wrap in freezer wrap and freezer for no more than 2 months.
Serves around 20 munchies.
Dog Strength and Stamina
As most of us know, our dogs need plenty of exercise to stay in shape, healthy and fit. However it is the responsibility of each dog owner to find out about the limits of his or her own dog. Remember that age, weight and general health have a lot to do with the amount of exercise a dog can get. A senior dog with arthritis obviously doesn't need and shouldn't be required to do vigorous exercise, so keep those things in mind and talk to your veterinarian on how much exercise your dog should get.
