Dog Mini Cakes Recipe
Ingredients
2 and ½ cups of all purpose flour
½ teaspoon of baking powder
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons of carob powder
½ cup of honey
½ cup of canola oil
2 eggs
¾ cup of applesauce, unsweetened
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Oil two 12 cup muffin pans with vegetable oil.
- In a large bowl mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and carob powder together and set it on the side. Whisk the honey and oil together in a separate bowl. Then add the eggs in one by one, then the applesauce mixing it thoroughly after each addition. Add the wet honey mixture to the flour mixture and stir it all until it becomes moistened.
- Fill the muffin cups to 2/3. Then put in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until when inserting a wooden pick in the center of a muffin it comes out clean.
- After it is done, allow it to cool to normal temperature before serving it out.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days at most or wrap in freezer wrap and freezer for up to 2 months.
Dangerous Insects
If your dog is like most dogs, he probably loves crawling and running around grassing areas and bushy gardens etc. the only problem with this kind of habit is that they become very likely to getting bit by ticks or other insects such as spiders or snakes. The signs of Lyme disease are fever, lethargy, and painful and swollen joints. If you think your dog might have gotten this disease, make sure to tell your veterinarian right away.
