Dog kennel door
I was reading some information online the other day about dog kennels and I was surprised to fine that there are many reasons why it is a good idea to keep your dog kennel door locked at all times. One obvious reason is because your dog could accidentally open the gate of the dog kennel just by pushing on it too hard and then it could escape.

Another more serious reason for keeping your dog's kennel door locked at all times is due to the fact that nowadays there are so many people with malicious intentions wandering around looking for some way to profit from other peoples' innocence. Just like you wouldn't think of leaving your children unprotected in the house by not locking your doors, you also shouldn't even think about leaving your dog unprotected in its kennel by not locking its door.
Since you as your dog's owner are the person responsible both to your dog and to the law for its safety and well being it behooves you to take every precaution possible to prevent any mishaps or incidents.
The simplest way to ensure that your dog's kennel door will not open without you present is to use a chain and lock (or bicycle chain) but if you choose this method it is recommendable to use a combination lock so that you can open the kennel quickly in an emergency without having to first search for the key.
