Dog food tofu and honey sauce recipe
Know this: Tofu is considered to be one of the most digestible foods. The fact that it is so bland makes it comforting for a dog that is having stomach problems. Soy products are also very high in protein and they can be easily found in pet stores.
Ingredients
2 packages firm tofu
4 tablespoons cornstarch
5 tablespoons sesame seeds
4 cups vegetable oil
1 cup honey
Wash and drain the tofu and cut it into small squares. Mix the cornstarch and 4 tablespoons of sesame seeds together in a piece of wax paper or a plate. Roll the tofu in the sesame seeds mix.
Heat the oil in a wok over high heat and heat it until it is hot but not smoking. Fry the tofu a few pieces at a time, turning until they are golden brown. Drain them on paper towels.
Use a small pot and heat up the honey and enough water to make a light sauce. Put the tofu on the dogs bowl and pour the sauce over it, you can decorate it by sprinkling some sesame seeds over it.
Makes 4 cups.
