Dog Food Myths

There are several myths about feeding a dog.

"Dogs need meat." Other proteins like milk, eggs, cheese and fish are the same or even more nutritious.

"Dogs need green vegetables to receive vitamin C." The dogs, as well as all remaining mammals, produce the necessary vitamin C that is required by their organism.

"Potatoes are bad for dogs." Potatoes can be a nutritious source and a cheap resource of energy in a balance diet.

"White bread is bad for dogs." This myth lasted until 1945, when they prohibited an ingredient called agene. Potatoes and bread are

an energy source. It also provides protein, calcium, iron and vitamins B.

"baby cabbage and garlic cure dogs from infested parasite worms." The only bad effect produced by this is the bad smell in the animal food.

"Dogs need a variety of foods, they get bored with a monotonous diet." However, they wont if it is a balance and flavorful diet.

"Different Breeds need diverse diets." All dogs, pure and crossed, have the same basic nutritionist needs. The quantity and consistency of their diets varies in size and dogs condition.

"Yeast is good for dogs." Powdered yeast is a good source of vitamin B and protein, same as the meat, although it does not determine specific benefits. But active yeast can originate digestive problems.

"The sulfur maintain dogs healthy." The combined sulfur is an essential component of protein. Although the free sulfur is indigestible.
