Dog feeding bowls

It is important that your dog not only has his own bowls for food and water but that the bowl is a shape and size suitable for your breed. For example a breed with long ears needs a specially shaped dog bowl to keep his ears out of his food and water. Heavy ceramic is generally considered a good material for your dog's bowls. Your dog's food bowl should be cleaned well after every meal to prevent bacteria growth.

Although plastic and stainless steel food and water bowls are good they are often not heavy enough and some dogs tend to chew their plastic bowls while others may be allergic to the plastic and develop redness or swelling around their mouth.
