Dog Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups of cooked chicken, chopped
½ cup of carrots, chopped
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups of rice, cooked
½ cup of skim milk
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1 cup of grated low fat cheddar cheese
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Oil a baking pan with vegetable oil.
- Use a large bowl and put the cooked chicken, carrots and parsley in it and mix well. Then add in the cooked rice and stir well. Mix the milk and the flour together in a smaller bowl until you obtain a homogenous mixture and then add it into the rice mixture.
- Put the mixture into the baking pan and sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.
- Put in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until you notice it becomes golden brown.
- Allow it to cool to normal temperature before serving.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in airtight container for up to 2 days.
Serves 6 casserole servings.
A Dog's Nose
If your dog's nose looks cold and wet, or warm and dry, it could be an indicator that something is wrong. However, it is not necessarily an indicator that something is wrong. If you notice that your dog is acting a big strange, has a cough and sneezing, or seems to be sleeping more than usual, is vomiting etc, than those are real indications that something is wrong and you should take him to get a check up.
