Unfortunately cancer is something that also affects dogs, almost as commonly as it affects humans these days. However there are many ways to spot the early stages of this terrible disease. Remember that if you notice your dog is acting differently or shows some strange signs of discomfort to not let it pass as nothing. There are much better chances of saving your best friend by acting and calling the veterinarian at the slightest change of behavior or health. The following are some signs of cancer in dogs. If you notice any of the following in your dog, don't hesitate to call your veterinarian right away.

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Stamina loss
  • Difficulty eating or swallowing
  • Unwillingness to do exercise
  • Loss of appetite
  • Sudden weight loss
  • Sores that do not heal
  • Problems or difficulty urinating and defecating
  • Abnormal swelling in the abdomen area
  • Bleeding from body openings
  • Lameness
  • Unusually bad odor
