Large and Extra Large Dog Breeds.- The dogs considered into this category are those with a height of over 25 inches, they can weight over 100 pounds, depending on the breed. They will need training, almost 100% of the times, because they can be  hard to handle. They are very energetic so they will need a lot of exercising and space to develop. The most common ones for families to have are the golden retriever, Labrador, German shepherd, saint Bernard, boxer, rottweiler, among others.

 

Medium Size Dog Breeds.- These dogs are between 19 and 25 inches tall and their weight varies between 15 and 25 pounds. The most famous one in this category are the cocker spaniel, basset Hound, bulldog, Dalmatian, poodle, Siberian husky, standard schnauzer and so on.

Small and Toy Dog Breeds.- They are a great option for people who in apartments, buildings, etc., but on the other side, they have several nutrition problems due to their size and special nutrition requirements. They are under 19 inches in height and can weight as little as 3 pounds.  Some of the most common small and toy bog breeds are the Chihuahua, dachshund, Maltese, shih tsu, pug, Maltese, Scottish terrier, Yorkshire terrier, etc.
