A happy runner like the Dalmation dog calls attention by its spots
Height, weight: from 50 to 61 cm; and 25 kg of weight. Well proportioned and muscular.
Fur, color: short, dense, hard, straight and bright. Pure white with black or brown spots with precise edges and well distributed.
Appropriate for: sporty families with children, who like to ride a bicycle or horse.
Not Appropriate for: who look for a comfortable dog and don't want attention.
As a member of the family: attentive guard, doesn't bite, isn't noisy, not a hunter. Never looses sight of it's owner.
Breed's character: uncomplicated and happy, usually easy to educate. Capable of adapting, devoted. Likes to run and is very resistant. First it was a dog to accompany jockeys and drivers, then to go in front of the fire department to clear the way. Also an artist dog because of it's aspect and intelligence.
Common sicknesses: it isn't a sickly dog. Inherited deafness. Eczema produce by it's high level of uric acid, kidney stones.
Life expectancy: up to 14 years.
