Cutting the dog's tail

Cutting the Dog's Tail
Dog Tail Docking

I have a litter of puppies of a cut tail breed, why I have to do that and when? Cutting the tail means to get rid of part of it, and originally was done to avoid injuries to hunting dogs when running through the woods.

From then on, cutting has been incorporated as a standard for many breeds, and for exhibitions you are obliged to do it. The proportion of tail to be cut is specific; for instance, the Rottweiler has most of his tail amputated, leaving just one vertebra, while the Airedale keeps most of it. If you have to cut your puppy's tails, be sure to do it properly, asking a veterinarian to to dog tail docking.
