Corn Dog RecipeI can't exactly remember where I ran into this corn dog recipe but it was something my dog completely went crazy about. Why wouldn't she? I mean what dog wouldn't enjoy a scrumptious corn dog recipe? Check it out. Ingredients ½ cup of whole-wheat flour ½ cup of yellow cornmeal 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1 egg ½ cup of milk ½ cup of bacon drippings 2 frankfurters, each chopped into 10 slices Preparation Place the oven rack in the center of the oven and then preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan lightly with vegetable oil. Use a large bowl and a metal whisk to mix the whole wheat flour, the cornmeal and the baking powder together. Next, blend both the dry and wet preparation together with a spoon or use your hand until the ingredients become moistened. Drop a small teaspoon amount of the preparation onto the top of the already pre pared muffin pan and press a slice of the frankfurter into the center of it, the cover it with an additional teaspoon amount of the mixture again. Bake the corn dog recipe for around 15 to 20 minutes or until you notice the tops look golden brown and when a wooden pick is inserted in the corn dogs, it comes out clean. Once the corn dog recipe is done, take it out of the oven and allow the corn dogs to cool over a wire rack. Once they have cooled remove the corn dogs and then store them in the refrigerator. |
