Coney Dog Recipe
This Coney dog recipe came to us while in Coney Island in Ocala Florida. The whole family and our dog Lady decided we needed get some food. While chowing down on our food, Lady looked at us as if she was missing out on something great in life. One of my ingenious sisters said she would make up a Coney dog recipe for lady when she got home; obviously this Coney dog recipe has nothing to do with Coney Island but at least lady liked it. Check it out:
Ingredients
115 grams boneless, skinless turkey, cut into small pieces
¼ cup half and half
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
¼ cup bread crumbs
Salt
Ground black pepper
1 ½ tablespoons oil
½ tablespoon non salted butter
¼ cup chicken stock
½ tablespoon parsley, chopped
Bread, sliced
Put the turkey into the blender or food processor and add in 1 – 2 tablespoons of the half and half. Blend or process until the turkey is chopped coarsely. Add in more half and half as needed. Make sure that the mixture is thick . When this is done put the turkey in a separate mixing bowl. Add in the onion, breadcrumbs, and the rest of the half and half, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Shape the mixture into 2 patties. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and put the turkey patties in and let them cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
