The various kinds of Dog Entertainment and distractions can be categorized as follows:

  1. Things that move. These types of Dog Entertainment or distractions are those that bring out your dog's hunting nature. This includes; cars, animals, runners, kids, balls or bikes. Almost all dogs find moving objects to be irresistible.
  2. Things that smell. A dog's sense of smell is one of the marvels of nature. But this also means that most dogs are driven by their noses, whether it be looking for food or checking out the scents left by other dogs. Some of these distractions are wildlife, food, other animals' feces and cats.
  3. Things that make noise. Not all dogs are affected the same by noises but it is a difficult distraction regardless. Change the intensity and variety of noises slowly and give your dog time to become accustomed to them.
