6. Front Doorway
While you Build Simple dog house, please mark out the door frame by placing the panel against the inside edge of the front framework and trace out the doorway.
Alternatively, a mark needs to be made exactly 11" from the left and right sides of the bottom of the front panel. Two more marks need to be made 11", but 22 ½" up from the base of the panel.
Pencil in lines between these marks, and you should now have a layout for the doorway (see diagram 07).
7. Cut out the doorway with the jigsaw and place panel against inside edge of front framework to see how it fits. If it fits well, attach it using smaller wood screws (see photo 06B).
8. Side Panel and Windows
To begin with, a side window needs to be cut out. Place the side panels against the inside edge of the framework and trace out the window with a pencil.
Alternatively, a mark needs to be made exactly 11" in from the left and right sides of the panel, the lower mark being 10 ½" up from the bottom and the upper mark being 5" down from the top of the plywood panel.
Pencil in lines between the marks and cut out your window with a jigsaw.
Repeat process for both side panels.
9. Place the panels against the inside edge of the side framework to see how it fits.
If it fits well, attach using smaller wood screws (see photo 06B).
