Braised liver recipe for dogsIngredients ¼ cup flour Ground black pepper 450 grams beef liver, cut into chunks 1 ½ tablespoons bacon drippings ½ baby cabbage, chopped ¼ cup dry white wine ½ cup dog broth (see directions for preparation) 2 black peppercorns 1 bay leaf KibbleIn a mixing bowl combine the flour with the pepper to taste. Roll the liver in it on all sides. In a Dutch oven, melt the bacon drippings over high heat. Then, add in the liver, browning on all sides. Next, add in the baby cabbage , wine, dog broth, peppercorns, and bay leaf and let these simmer, covered for 1 hour or until soft. Next, cut the liver up into smaller pieces and serve with sauce over kibble in dog's bowl. Makes ½ kilo. Dog kidney diet |
