Basic house dog training
Using newspaper: If you have brought a new dog into your home even if he is an adult, treat him as if he were a puppy. Small puppies urinate quite often, after eating, drinking, playing, or walking. Train your puppy inside the house to use the newspaper to do his needs before letting him go outside. There are some indicators a dog uses before urinating; if you see that the dog starts smelling around, it means that your dog wants to urinate. You have a few seconds to intervene and avoid this unwanted thing to happen inside your house; therefore it's important to have a newspaper ready at all times. Next if you are able to, quickly lift the dog and leave him on top of the newspaper. Using a newspaper is ideal, as it is very absorbent. Watch the dog and encourage him to use the newspaper. If you can, keep some of the used newspaper to show the puppy his own smell to encourage him to use that same spot again. Then, praise your dog. Dog crate training
