Banana Oat Dog Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
1 and ½ cups of all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon of baking powder
¾ teaspoon of cinnamon, ground
1 and ½ cup of oats
¾ cup of canola oil
½ cup of honey
1 egg
3 ripe bananas, mashed
½ tablespoon of vanilla extract
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Oil 2 baking sheets with vegetable oil.
- In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon and oats, then set this mixture on the side. Use a larger bowl and an electric mixer (on medium) to mix the oil, honey, egg, vanilla and bananas. Then put this mixture together with the flour mixture.
- Get the prepared baking sheets and drop a tablespoon of dough on the baking sheets, separating them by 2 inches. Then put them in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until they begin to look golden brown.
- Once done allow them to cool to normal temperature before serving out.
Store the leftovers in an airtight container and keep for no more than 1 week, or wrap them well in freezer wrap and store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Serves around 24 mini waffles.
Flatulent Dogs
Although it is not the nicest subject, flatulence does indeed happen to dogs. Generally this occurs when a dog has inhaled or swallowed air into its stomach while it was eating. And often times this happens to dogs that eat in an out of control way. One way experts have suggested to avoid this overpowered eating habit is by placing something hard inside the dog's food bowl such as a brick or a rock in order to force the dog to eat around the object instead of just pigging out, which may very likely result in flatulence.
