Baked potatoes with cheese and meat stuffing recipe for dog
The shaggy dog hunter: Weighing 45 kilos the Irish wolfhound is a massive hunter. Used in times past to hunt predators and prey alike this breed has followed the trail of lions, wolves, elk and men. Now a dedicated and loveable house pet the shaggy Irish wolfhound is happy to eat gourmet.
Ingredients
3 large baking potatoes
300 grams of minced meat
Salt
Ground pepper
1 ½ cup grated Mild Cheddar Cheese
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons chopped fresh chives or tops of spring baby cabbage
Heat oven to 225 C.
Wash potatoes well and make holes in the skin with a fork. Place each potato in tin foil and bake all of them for about fifty minutes or until tender.
Meanwhile cook the minced meat in a pan over medium heat. Make sure that meat is well broken up and then drain off extra fat.
When potatoes are baked cut in half and place the insides in a mixing bowl along with the mince. Save the potatoes shells. Mix potato pulp, mince meat, cheese and Worcestershire sauce together. Spoon mixture into potato shells and put into oven on a baking sheet. Bake for about twenty minutes, or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle chopped chives over the baked potatoes and serve.
Makes 6 stuffed potato halves.
