Apple and Cinnamon Dog Cakes Recipe
Ingredients
1 and ½ cups of all purpose flour
1 and ½ cups of whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ground
¾ cup of honey
2 cups of non sweetened apple sauce
½ cup of canola oil
2 eggs
½ cup of skim milk
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Oil a 12-cup muffin pan with vegetable oil.
- Mix the flour, baking powder and ground cinnamon in a large bowl together and set on the side. Then in a separate bowl, mix the honey, applesauce and oil together. Beat the eggs in one at a time, and then add in the milk while continually beating. Next place the wet ingredients inside the flour mixture and stir well until is all combined.
- Fill up the muffin cups to 2/3 full and allow them to bake for around 30 minutes or until when inserting a wooden pick in the center of the cupcakes it comes out clean.
- Once done, allow them to cool to normal temperature before serving out.
Put leftovers in an airtight container and place in the fridge for up to 3 days. Or wrap it in freezer wrap and store in the freezer.
