Buying a Golden Retriever. The purchase contract

When you pick up your puppy, you will sign a purchase contract with the breeder. The sale of a dog is done according to the Civil Code. You manifest your capability to correctly care for and educate your dog. The breeder guarantees the pedigree of the puppies and the inscription of these in the Public Records. Any additional agreements between breeder and buyer will also be stipulated in this contract.

Ideal vs. Reality: Every buyer relates the purchase of a Retriever with the hopes of a healthy and beautiful dog that has all the exceptional characteristics of a Golden Retriever. Many descriptions of the breed that give the Retriever certain typical abilities strengthen that hope. Even publicity has helped give the image of a Golden that is always a good partner and a delicate and patient with children. But, what happens if these expectations are not met? The dog could be sickly, cowardly, or he simply does not correspond to your idea of how a Retriever should be. What happens if your dog isn't cheerful or doesn't like to play with children? Maybe he doesn't pass your first test because he gets resented at the sound of gunshot or because he doesn't understand your excitement. He could even be aggressive and not skip a chance to attack other dogs! Could you live with the idea that "ideal" Retrievers don't exist? Would you dedicate time and patience to help your dog overcome any shortcomings or, if need be, would you be willing to put up with those "deficiencies" for an entire canine life?
