Dangerous Golden Retriever Food

Even though the butcher might have the best intentions in the world when giving you scraps of pig, do not give your Golden raw pork meat. This meat can transmit the disease of Aujeszky. Although for human beings is harmless, in dogs they can cause the fatal pseudo rabies. Salmonella can also hide in raw bird meat. It isn't inconvenient that you always give your dog your leftovers. Among Golden Retrievers, sad to say, there are many gluttons, who find leftovers in any compost heap or in any dump, which they devour quickly. As in these cases the food is usually already rotten, there are two alternatives: either the owner of the Golden regularly visits the vet, or he outsmarts his dogs by putting any leftovers out of the reach of the dog. Of course, you will never be able to completely get rid of this habit, because you can energetically say "No" or "shoo" when you start recognizing that your dog is in the trash, but when you're not around, your dog will go back to this hobby. At times, also, pieces of poisoned food are left around, resulting in death or something very serious.
