Until recent times, the search and rescue teams faced the frustrating impotency and had grave problems finding the buried people that were still alive quick enough after a seismic occurrence. Evidently, only digging out or clearing out indiscriminately considerably reduced the possibility of saving human lives due to how slow and imprecise it was.
