Simple Dog Training

Start off by using a wooden or plastic hard top that is resistant and easy to manage. The dog should have previously been allowed to run about in an area away from the work zone for a few minutes. This should be done to give the dog a chance to do his needs, relax etc.
The trainer should take the dog (on a leash) about 20 meters before reaching the box or chest (with the person in it). Obviously this distance can vary depending on the motivational state of the dog. While the trainer and dog are approaching the box, the trainer should be sure to encourage the dog and prepare it mentally for the job ahead. Don't use chain leashes or pull on the dog with the leash. Avoid doing anything that will cause the dog to have stress.

The "victim" will need to be waiting for the guide in a determined point in between the box and the point where the guide will let the dog go. The "victim" will then need to move in an inciting way to get the dog's attention and make vocal noise so as to stimulate the dog but in a motivating way which will make the dog want to go up to him or her. Once the "victim" has been able to get the dog to become interested and excited, the dog will approach the box and will most likely climb inside once it sees the person inside it. This should be practiced several times and once the dog has gone inside the box completely, the person inside should then close the top.

The trainer will need to be watching and concentrating on the behavior of the dog in the exterior and indicate to the person inside the box (using a transceiver) when to intensify the emission of the dog's barks.
