When our dog gets sick

Diagnose and treatment: Dogs accept their owner as pack's leader. Therefore they like everything coming from him. You just have to show determination. Is the most important rule when treating with dogs. These quadrupeds must not have the idea that a menacing growl will give them the freedom to do what they want. Apart from people thinking other way, is essential to act with authority. Try always to do the following exercises with your dog, so he can consider them as something natural. While doing it, is important talking to him. No matter what you say; to calm him down the sound of your voice is enough. Think the following: any dog distrusts silence.

Protection against bites and lying down: Muzzles are not always useful as protection against bites, though some times (in regions protected against hydrophobia) maybe also be obligatory. Most of muzzles found at shops don't give a complete protection. Therefore, my advice is to tie your dog's snout.

The following exercise is to place the dog lying down on one of his sides. If you have someone to help you, you can start a thorough recognition of the animal. While he is in this position, try to examine and touch his legs, abdomen, ears, eyes, teeth (with the lace around his snout) and the anus. His moans or sudden licks will help you to determine in which concrete moment of the examination he has felt pain.
