Lansing Michigan Dog Groomer

The Lansing Michigan Dog Groomer we have has been teaching us some techniques of dog grooming that we as owners can do to keep our dog's health at it's best. After having taught us some basic steps of bathing and clipping he really emphasized on the importance of keeping calm when grooming, bathing, clipping etc a dog as yelling or getting nervous about will only cause a dog to get frightened as well, and you will probably not be able to work efficiently. Remember also that when working with electric clippers it is best to keep the clippers in good shape and not over use them at one time. Electric clippers have a tendency to get hot if they are over used so keep this in mind and don't forget to check them while using them to make sure you don't burn your poor dog's skin. Most good electric clippers will come with a tube of oil and a small brush. This little tube of oil will last a long time, as you only need to use a few drops of it at a time. Before using your electric clippers put a few drops of oil on the top of the blade so that it runs in between the teeth, then turn the clipper on so that the oil spreads all around. When you are clipping your dog make sure to turn the clipper off every so often and use the little brush to remove the hair from the clippers and then oil it again a little bit. Our Lansing Michigan Dog Groomer also said to make sure to clean the hair off the clippers, oil them and then keep them in a clean dry area so they last as long as possible.
