Grooming an American Spaniel

 

Material to use:
Electric trimmer (number 10, 7/8), teasel, comb, medium sized trimmer, nail clippers, curved scissors, serrated scissors.

Instructions: Grooming an American Spaniel
Shave in the direction of the hair (number 10) the superior part of the nose until the angles of the eyes, the cheeks, chin, and throat. Keep the hair on the eyebrows and forehead then shave about one third of the head until the back of the neck, as well as the ears interior and exterior part.

Shear (number 10) the abdomen and the crotch area. Shave the bottom part of the paws and then trim the nails. Next, untangle all the areas that have been left with long hair until you are able to use a comb on it easily. Get rid of the knots one by one carefully.

Bathe the dog by using an appropriate shampoo and apply an untangling cream. Rinse out well and dry with the hair dryer (on low). Next, brush out the whole dog's coat. Cut the contour of the "pants" without removing hair from the ankles but by flapping them out to the sides.
